Swimming Eligibility

To use the pool please ensure:

  • You are physically fit enough to swim and tread water

  • Do not swim whilst under the influence of alcohol, recreational drugs, strong prescription drugs or any other substances which could impair your mental or physical abilities.

  • Do not swim if you currently have or have experienced in the last 48 hours diarrhoea, vomiting flu or a cold with runny nose or a cough. An eye ear or throat infection, or any other infectious disease/condition.

  • You will not be permitted to enter the pool with any open wounds for yours and others protection.

  • You are over the age of 18

Private Hire

  • When hiring the pool, you will be given a “duration hire time”. The duration hire time includes for pre & post changing. The duration hire time is inclusive of your pool session time.

  • Those hiring the pool (and or accompanied) must not enter the pool changing facilities/pool hall prior to their allotted duration hire time - commencement time.

  • Those hiring the pool (and or accompanied) must exit the pool changing facilities/pool hall at the end of their allotted duration hire time -  completion time.

  • Late exit from the pool hall and/or changing facilities, will incur additional charges.

  • During private hire, the pool will only be used by those who have hired the pool for the private hire duration.

  • Private hire pool users must be over the age of 18.

  • Use of the pool is at the pool users own risk, as there is no lifeguard at the facility.

  • Private hire swimmers must advise/confirm when arranging swimming lessons at the pool.

  • Either male and/or female duty managers may be on duty during your pool hire.

  • Swimming flotation aids are available for an additional cost.

  • Counter current (Fastlane) is available for an additional cost.

  • Users are to provide their own towels.

  • Pool Users must use clean swim wear.

  • For health and safety, pool users (and/or accompanying) must use their own “ clean pool side” shoes whilst in the pool hall and changing room.

  • A maximum of 3 Users will be permitted per pool hire duration.

  • For security, health and safety, the pool hall is monitored with CCTV.

While Using the Pool

Please ensure that you:

  • Remove external footwear in the reception area, prior to entering the pool facilities, and change into pool side shoes.
  • Do not obstruct the exit or fire exit at any time.
  • Do not run at any time inside or outside of the pool hall/facilities.
  • Do not consume food or drink whilst inside the pool hall - doing so will result in a £75 + VAT cleaning fee.
  • Do not bring glass or other breakables inside the pool building
  • Do not wear jewellery, including earrings, whilst using the pool.
  • It you have a verruca; please ensure it is suitably covered.
  • Please wear a swimming cap if you have long hair
  • You MUST use the pool side shower provided, prior to entering the water. (this prevents infection and reduces the need for excess chlorine as part of national guidelines)
  • Smoking is strictly prohibited whilst on the premises.
  • Please ensure good time keeping and adhere to your allocated session time slot.
  • Please notify the duty manager of any damage to the pool, the building or its equipment immediately.
  • Please note the fire exit routes.
  • Pool users not in control of their own bowel movements or the below cleaning charges will be imposed:
  • Solid Faecal Contamination - Cleaning Fee - £150+VAT
  • Diarrhoea or Vomit Contamination - Cleaning Fee - £250+VAT.
  • Food/Drink Spillage- Cleaning Fee - £75+VAT

  • Any and all deliberate vandalism/damage caused by the Hirer, will result in the immediate terminiation of teh Hire Session.

  • Vandalism/deliberate damage, repairs will be charged to the Pool Hiree.

Accidents and Emergencies

Please note:

  • There are three emergency exits located in the pool building.

  • The first is the main entrance door from the entrance into reception.

  • The second and third emergency exits are located in the pool hall to the left-hand and right -hand sides. These side doors will remain unlocked during pool operating hours for the use of emergency exits only. You are not permitted to leave/exit via these doors for any other purposes.

  • Please ensure you have a mobile phone with usable signal whilst visiting the leisure complex and it is located on the poolside while in the pool for emergencie.

  • There is a first aid kit, including instant ice packs and an accident book. Located on the shelf adjacent to the steps from the poolside.

  • In the event of an accident please ensure that the details are entered into the accident book and that you notify the duty manager on reception. - the duty manager can be contacted at any time during your visit by using one of the intercom units located:

CCTV

For your security, health, and safety, this swimming pool area is monitored by CCTV 24/7.

 

Purpose: Enhancing security, monitoring for health and safety, and preventing accidents or crime.

Coverage: Cameras are installed in the swimming pool area only and signage located adjacent to the CCTV camera.

Data Protection Compliance: We comply with the Data Protection Act 2018 and GDPR.

Privacy: Cameras are positioned to respect your privacy.

Retention: Footage is retained for 30 days and then securely disposed of.
